Sunway Lagoon is a well-established theme park that has drawn in more than 20 million visitors since its creation in 1993. Located in Sunway, Petaling Jaya, the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park comprises numerous attractions in the form of a water park and cultural amusement centers. Over time, the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park continues to add more and more features, making it the premier theme park in Malaysia.

In the theme park, one can head to the Water of Africa to try out the many twisty slides that feed into pools of water for a splashing good time. Then there is the newly refurbished Sunway Surf Beach, which features real sand and palm trees to recreate a tropical beach setting. The waves in the pool fronting the beach can get up to 2.4 meters high, promising splashing fun in a rough kind of way.

Then there is the Wild Wild West Park that takes you to experience the days of cowboys and Red Indians on the prairie. A realistically created cowboy town, one can walk among the wooden saloons and stores while trying out different rides with Western themes. Head on next to the World of Adventure, where the world’s longest suspension bridge measures 428 m and stretches over the park, allowing you to see all the attractions from a bird’s eye view. This section features even more rides that are death defying and thrilling to say the least.
 

Facilities

Extreme Park

The Extreme Park allows those with a young heart to indulge in fast-paced activity and sports, including paintball, riding ATVs (All-Terrain-Vehicle), jet boating and kayaking. In the Paintball War Zone, you get to wield an air rifle that shoots paintballs. Stacked into opposing teams, you and your friends can shoot the stuffing out of each other! Riding an ATV is another exciting experience; participants clamber onto four-wheel drive vehicles and drift around a dirt track while exploring the greenery of Sunway Lagoon.

Then there’s jet boating where you hop onto the jet boat and hang on for dear life as the driver spins and turns around the lake with various elephant sculptures providing obstacles. For a less strenuous event, you can try kayaking or embracing a swan ride across the lake.

Sunway Wildlife Zoo

The Sunway Wildlife Zoo is an interactive zoo that provides visitors the chance to see birds, mammals and reptiles on a personal basis. The animals here that include civet cats, gibbons, peacocks, squirrel monkeys, cockatoos, snakes and other exotic or domestic animals, are displayed in well-built cages and aviaries and. Visitors can also sit down with some of the animals to feed or play with them, offering a truly interactive experience.
