Spreading over 1500 acres of land, the Sabah Agricultural Park in Tenom features more than 3000 plant species, with its highlight being a huge collection of rare and hybrid orchids, all housed in specially-designed gardens. The park is actually an expansion of the former Orchid Centre, which was established by a British, Anthony Lamb, who had spent several years in Borneo. There are many stretches of well-laid trails for you to explore, elaborate gardens with beautiful landscaping, a magnificent collection of plants and flowers, and stunning wild birds and insects that will make you feel like you’re in nature’s paradise. Set against a backdrop of the Crocker Range, home of Mount Kinabalu, the park is a visitor-friendly park which not only fascinates, but also educate.
