Labuan Trail Full Day

start from MYR 400

Labuan remains an important historical destination for many due to its significance in the World War II, with the Labuan War Cemetery, Allied Landing Point and Japanese Surrender Point forming the three major World War II attractions here. Situated at Jalan Tanjung Batu, the Labuan War Cemetery is the largest in Malaysia, the final resting place of some 3,900 war heroes who had died in battle or captivity during those times. Maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, a service to mark Remembrance Day is held here on the first Sunday of every November. The Japanese Surrender Point is situated at the entrance of the Japanese-inspired Peace Park, marked by a plague mounted on a stone slab, where the 32nd Japanese Southern Army had surrendered to the Australian Imperial Forces on the 9th of September 1945, thus signifying the end of the World War II in Borneo. The Allied Landing Point signifies the liberation of Labuan and the-then British Borneo on the 10th of June 1945.
