Dutch Heritage Trails of Malacca

start from MYR 370

Touted as the un-official historic capital of Malaysia, Malacca brims with notable attractions and fascinating fare. Established in the 1400’s by Sumatran prince, Parameswara, Malacca flourished as an international port due to its strategic location.

The Dutch Heritage Trails Tour takes you on a trip to experience the legacy and culture of Malacca city which was inhabited by the Portugese, British and Dutch over a period of four centuries. Remnants of their rule can be seen throughout the town from the A-Famosa fort to the nearby Stadhuys and Christ Church. To top it all off a trip to Malacca would be incomplete without a stroll down Jonker Street. Once a narrow alleyway filled with wealthy imposing residences it has now become a bargain-hunter’s paradise for antiques and food. On Fridays and Saturdays the street is transformed into a busy, carnival-like bazaar with tourists thronging the boulevard looking for unique items to buy. Description.

We then ascend up St Paul's Hill to visit the St Paul’s Church where St Francis Xavier was temporary buried before his body was moved to Goa, India.
