Malaysians are known for their warm hospitality, readily welcoming visitors into the inner sanctum of their homes offering home-cooked food. Malaysian food is a fascinating blend of cuisine which is unique because of its rich history being a delectable fusion of diverse cultures, predominantly Malay, Chinese, Indian and Baba. The fantastically varied dishes are appealing to a wide range of palates. With the emphasis on taste, one can be totally intoxicated with the rich layer of spices often residing in the same dish.

During your stay in Malaysia either as a visitor, resident or expatriate, why not learn to cook some Malaysian traditional dishes by taking one or more classes so when you return home you can take back some authentic tastes of Malaysia.

The classes are hands on, held Tuesdays to Saturdays in the mornings and presented in English in an entertaining manner by Malaysian ladies who have lived overseas. The location is a contemporary Malaysian home in a suburb, approx 25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre, complete with herb garden and with purpose made demonstration tables and individual cooking stations.

There are 6 different menus, including one Thai, to choose from and you will get to socialise and enjoy your creations with your fellow guests. You will be given detailed explanations of ingredients, cooking methods, how-to methods and meticulously compiled recipes handed down from generations which are often personal tales of gourmet explorations.

Guests will be allotted individual fully equipped cooking stations and you will cook your food with lots of assistance. And no washing up!!! Take the rare hands-on experience of cooking in a Malaysian home environment using traditional stone and wooden utensils in a modern kitchen. All the necessities will be provided from the cooking utensils, stove and aprons. You will cook using fresh ingredients bought from the local markets.

Special Classes and different dishes in addition to our regular menus & schedule can be arranged for groups, subject to prior agreement.
