Another great option is to combine your AOW course together with the PADI Enriched Air Specialty course. First you will do 4 dives of the PADI Advanced Open Water course before doing your last dive of that course on Enriched Air Nitrox and then conducting anther dive on Nitrox to gain your PADI Enriched Air Nitrox certification.
After the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (AOW) you will be certified to dive to a depth of 30meters and you will have gained the required certification level in many dive destinations. The AOW course includes 5 dives, of which the Underwater Navigation and the Deep Dive are compulsory. One dive will be on Nitrox and for the other 2 dives it is highly recommended to choose Night Diving and the Peak Perform Buoyancy.
The PADI Enriched Air Specialty course is the most sought after course in the world. Diving on Enriched Air gives you the advantage of longer bottom times, which is especially important on deeper dives, and it provides additional safety in shallower dives. You will also feel less tired if you dive on Enriched Air compared to air. In your leisure time you ‘self-study’ the manual and watch the video. Once this is completed, our Enriched Air Instructor will spend around 2 hours with you, going through the Knowledge Reviews, and give you additional information on Enriched Air and Technical Diving. Once the academic section is completed, you have to pass a final exam (25 questions, multiple choice), analyze your Enriched Air tanks and go out diving using Enriched Air on day 2. The 2 dives can be combined with any of the PADI Advanced Open Water dives and you will be conducting a total of 6 dives.
